Watch the Extemporaneous Public Speaking awards live Thursday, October 22, at 8 a.m. ET from the 500 Ballroom. In this event, FFA members draw a topic on current agricultural issues, take 30 minutes to prepare, and deliver a speech with no script, followed by questions from the judges. The awards program recognizes the state winners who competed at the national level, celebrating their research, poise, and ability to think on their feet. The top speakers advance to the finals at 9:30 a.m. in the same room, and the national winner will be announced on stage during Session 3 on Thursday evening.
